The Airborne is worth the price of admission, the others were pretty much dated and didn't care for them, i didn't complete a play through on any of the rest. I am probably spoiled by the newer graphics engines and am not in love with many of the "classics" as some others are. I expect far more than a rehash of Doom with the cheesy graphics,why buy a Cadillac to drive to the grocery store.The computer system I have built for gaming spit these curmudgeons out, pick and choose. (I gave it away)
the thing is that there are no missions just levels so to speak so if you get bored of one level you can go to the next freely. That's why it's so hectic on Multiplayer as everything is spread out. The thing that makes these games so enjoyable I think is probably two things. Battlefield Vietnam is extremely fun with all it's new weapons and vehicles, but lots of people say, "oh but the new vehicles are so good that they dominate the game" which isn't true at all. (Defiberelators can bring your man back to life in the game).Anyway when you've looked at other reviews, BUY THE GAME. The thing is that there is only one objective which s capture flag points which you can respawn off. Anyway the maps for the games are good because there so vast and there are so mnay places to go.
I reccomend that you should definetly buy the games as there the funnest computer games you could ever have. First the opportunity to play with so many freaky vehicles that you can drive, fly and "sail and second would be the ability as another review said to go wherever you want, do whatever you want and kill everything you want to. Basically what I like about the game is that it has no guidelines. In other games like COD for example when you can't complete a mission you are restricted to those previous missions (you can jst use cheats-although it's no fun) but in Battlefield 1942 every mission is playable from the start. Obviously when a new era comes in with more advanced vehicles and technology new eapons come in which can tackle those vehicles and blow some of them out of the sky. After a year or two when you've finally finished all the maps and downloaded mods you shoudl give BF2 a try. MOST FUN YOU"LL EVER HAVE WITH WWII games.
The Shipping was timely. The campaign is lacking but the multi player online is wonderful. Arriving on the day it was predicted. The game its self is a fine game. There are updates available and modes to change up the game. Updates are necessary to play online.
Its a good game. sometmes it crashes for no reason but there are fixes for that on the internet if you are willing to look.
We play this at work pretty often. Works great for all of us because of the low system requirements. We also enjoy the vast variety of maps.
